Excellent Stay at a Characterful Hotel

The staff were friendly and efficient. The room was clean and well presented. Modern equipment existed but was in keeping with the history of the building. Breakfast was of a high standard. I appreciated that parking was available on site. It made arrival and departure easy. I enjoyed the provided breakfast and a main course in the restaurant as part of a package. The hard-working staff did everything they could to assist.

The heating in my room was not working when I arrived after a long journey, and there was a short delay before it came on.

The hotel provided convenient parking at the rear of the building. The staff maintained a clean, comfortable, and stylish room, i found classical music playing upon arrival to be a lovely touch. Excellent bathroom products were also stocked.. The restaurant's food, the bar, and the courtyard with its gardens provided ample spaces to unwind.

The toilet was difficult to flush . It needs some attention.

The hotel car park was very convenient. It made arrival easy. My room featured lovely decor, and the ensuite had been recently refurbished. I found ample space for clothes and the hotel maintained a quiet atmosphere. I appreciated the firm, big mattress. It allowed for a restful sleep.

I would have liked a better selection of decaf coffee and tea provided in my room. More should have been available without asking.
