I found the breakfast cooked by rowena to be a real highlight. david facilitated conversations between guests making it interesting and human. i appreciated the view from my room overlooking the wonderful garden. It invited you to stay. the bathroom and shower in our room were great. It was large and comfortable.
there were no signs to indicate we were at the correct hotel. i had to knock on the front door to confirm we were at the right place. a small map with eateries nearby would be helpful.

onsite parking was available which i found convenient. hosts have good local knowledge of restaurants ideas. the location is walking distance to town. it is a good base for travels to cairngorms and other parts of the highlands.

david. he clearly cares about his guests' comfort. they provided thoughtful vegan options for my breakfast, and i appreciated it. he had many scottish anecdotes.
