a little underwhelmed

dim lighting inconvenient water
the bed was very comfy i must say.
i booked a luxury double room shower, but i am not so sure it was worth it. the lighting was so dim, it was hard to see, and i found the lack of hot water one morning quite inconvenient. these issues did detract a bit from the overall stay, and i expected more for the price.

Acceptable Stay, Issues Experienced

missing shelves lack privacy
I stayed two nights and encountered a few problems. The bathroom lacked a vanity unit or shelves. The only places for toiletries were the floor or toilet seat. The large window needed better blinds. It felt exposed, especially since the room faced a main road. I kept the curtains shut, which darkened the room. there was no hot water one evening, and my message about it received a reply only the next morning.

helpful staff convenient parking great location missing shelf hot room loud noise
lucy greeted us at the bar. she then showed us to our room. the hotel has a collaboration with the curious fox for car parking (convenient!) and breakfast, just across the road. the location is superb, right next to the castle.
The bathroom needed a shelf. there was no place to put creams or toothbrushes other than on the floor. the room was very hot. A fan would have helped. i was also woken by very loud church bells on sunday morning.
