The on-site restaurant offered delicious food and excellent service. breakfast was free and made to order. I found this lovely. the staff were very helpful and friendly throughout my stay (i especially liked the attentiveness).
the room got quite warm, and there was only a small fan available. it would be nice to have air conditioning, especially during warmer months.

The room was clean and quite sizable, providing ample space for luggage. the bed was comfortable with two pillows ensuring a restful sleep. the bathroom was compact and clean. It suited my needs perfectly.

the staff members were very attentive and ensured my needs were met promptly. check-in and check-out were quick and easy (i appreciated this efficiency). directions were offered by the locals who were also friendly and helpful.

a mixed experience
chewy chickenheavy sauce
the menu listed balmoral chicken without specifying it included haggis a detail i missed the dish itself was not enjoyable for me the chicken was quite chewy and the sauce was too heavy my husband found his sausage and steak pie dry and we both disliked the mash it tasted as though it was made from powder.

Acceptable, but some issues noticed

The room was very clean and I appreciated that the beds were comfortable.
My most recent visit had some problems. The starter arrived with prawns even though I have an allergy. While they changed it quickly, the replacement was dry and the tempura batter was thick. It reminded me of it sat under a heat lamp. I also had to ask for napkins and cutlery.

I appreciated the large family room. It accommodated us five adults comfortably. it was really clean with a great bathroom. the free parking behind the hotel was a definite plus. the staff members were very friendly and efficient. the hotel restaurant was really good with a large menu!!!
for the price, the room requires repainting, as there are marks on the wall, and a big patch of paint missing.

The room featured a spacious bathroom with a good shower. A late check-in was available, convenient. The hotel offered early breakfast, which suited my schedule. Plenty of parking was available onsite, providing easy access.
The tea and coffee facilities were placed directly under the tv, which seemed like a slight health and safety issue.
