lovely rooms and good service
friendly staff great breakfast
the welcome was friendly and the staff were helpful. i had no issues. the room was clean. the breakfast chef was accommodating and cooked a great breakfast.
the room felt a little dated. the radiator was behind the bed, so the room was a little cold when i arrived. i had to turn the radiator ON to heat the room.

the hotel is in a beautiful setting. there is a courtyard with grass at the rear for walking dogs. the environment is peaceful and allows for a relaxed stay. there is good carparking available.

the food was delicious and the service was good. breakfast is served upstairs in the pub. the breakfast food was excellent. the hotel offers supper, that was also great.

Fantastic Pub Stay
helpful staff generous portions fun atmosphere
I LOVED the friendly and helpful staff. They made everything easy. The food portions were very generous at dinner, wow. The pub has lots of character, a really fun atmosphere.

the pub features A beautiful log fire. The rooms are spacious and functional, meeting most needs. There IS a relaxing courtyard where guests can unwind.

staff provided a VERY warm welcome, setting a positive tone. Breakfast service happens upstairs in the pub. The service was efficient and always came with a smile.

a kind and friendly stay it was
friendly staff good breakfast very good meal
staff were friendly, they were helpful. breakfast tasted good, good service was provided. family visitors joined us for dinner one sunday, meal was first class and tasty. i thank all staff for a kind stay.
the room needed an update, it had chipped paint. table tops felt sticky to the touch. overall it was not quite a 4 star experience.

the hotel includes a lovely courtyard, it has plenty of grass at the rear. this caters for dogs well. there is good car parking spaces available near the courtyard.

the menu has a good variety of dishes. i opted for steak pie in suet pastry. succulent beef was in a rich gravy, it was wrapped inside delicious suet pastry. chips were tasty too.

the service was friendly and efficient, i appreciated it. the staff provided a warm welcome. i found the service had a smile. the staff were kind and helpful.

the hotel is located less than three miles from my final destination. it is a lovely little stop for travellers. it is near the a38 for cornwall travellers. it is a nice relaxing place.
