I was disappointed with the room location. It was not in the pub. It was up a track. The hallway felt quite cold..

the village location was acceptable. not much else.
the bar staff seemed bored, so i didn't exactly feel welcomed upon arrival. the room itself? not in the main building, but tucked away up some track. and to top it off no milk. how are you supposed to make tea without milk i ask?

the food was delicious and the portions were large. i would have asked for a smaller portion of fish and chips if i had realised. it's nice to have access to fresh milk for tea.

breakfast offered many choices and i especially enjoyed the fresh fruit selection. the room had comfortable furnishings plus there was a fan. the location was perfect for walks into the village and nearby areas.

the pub provides great food plus generous servings, so consider requesting smaller portions to avoid waste. i also saw that the hotel offers a good choice of non-alcoholic drinks, alongside traditional pub fare.
