The room was clean and well equipped. the bar was extensively refurbished. It had a lot of history. the premises were beautiful. the view over the loch was so relaxing.
The arrival welcome was non existent! then when i did find a person. They seemed disinterested. no milk was available on the tea tray? the room hadn't been changed over from the last guest, though we received a free drink while we waited almost an hour.

the room was too warm at times. it faced the heart of the hotel. the room had no window. this made ventilation difficult.

The staff was very helpful and friendly . The food was really good. I especially enjoyed the fresh seafood (they were the daily specials). The entire hotel was super clean, and the location provided beautiful views. I appreciated the comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms.
The wifi signal was a bit weak in some areas of the room. It barely affected my stay however.

My stay included delicious meals in the restaurant. The chef created excellent dishes with beautiful presentation. Amanda at the front desk was helpful and efficient. I found the breakfast options superb, ranging from a full Scottish breakfast to shakshuka. I also enjoyed the bar and garden areas with lovely water views.
The black and gold decor felt slightly dated.
