Excellent Stay in a Scenic Location

The breakfast included varied options. I appreciated the generous veggie option. The staff members were friendly and cute. They were accommodating. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Tea and coffee were provided for early risers.
There was NO hot water for a shower. This was not ideal as I was on a walking holiday. The room felt cold upon arrival. I did not receive a refund for this inconvenience.

The surrounding countryside offers great local walks. The hamlet provides a comfortable base for exploring. It's a FABULOUS area with scenic views and tranquility.

unimaginative menulazy breakfast
The sunday menu lacked imagination given the prices charged. the lack of breakfast options before 9am felt lazy! also, the hotel had too many dogs. They barked a lot. the dogs also made the bar stink.

the dining and breakfast were acceptable.
there was no hot water for a shower. i was on a walking holiday. the inn feels like it needs updating. the beds and pillows were not good enough for the price i paid.

The staff welcomed me warmly. They were so friendly! the room had plenty of space and offered tea, a small joy in the early morning. the evening meal tasted exquisite, and breakfast the next morning included a wonderful vegetarian choice.
the limited vegetarian options on the menu presented a slight inconvenience, yet the flavours of what was available still enchanted my palate.
