the staff were quite friendly and quick to help. the breakfast was really good (especially the quality of the ingredients). i was given a key for the outside door, a nice touch for late returns.
Parking proved difficult. I had to circle the lot waiting for a spot to open. the pub was busy, especially on easter sunday. people seemed to lack control over their dogs.

the room had complimentary toiletries and biscuits, acceptable.
I was a bit disappointed with the temperature control in the room. the thermostat didn't seem to respond, and it was either too warm or too cold. also, the soundproofing wasn't great. I could hear noise from the hallway and other rooms (this impacted my sleep quality).
