Wonderful Stay in a Charming Guest House

appointed rooms large carpark helpful staff
I found three well-appointed rooms in this beautiful country guest house. The family room was like a suite and it had plenty of space. It included a double bed, a single bed, and a travel cot. The staff was helpful. They offered towel and tea refills (which was a nice touch). The large carpark and the pub offering great food were also very convenient.
Upon arrival, there was only one towel in our room for two people. I also thought it was overpriced (especially considering no breakfast was included).
Location
9/10
The hotel offered excellent parking facilities with space available directly outside my room window. This detail was very convenient when travelling down through England.
Service
10/10
The staff provided attentive service . They were friendly and helpful, ensuring all my needs were met. The available tourist information file was useful for exploring the area.
Dining
9/10
The on-site pub restaurant was very good. It offered attentive table service. I appreciated the great food offered in the adjoining pub, including the fun pub quiz.
Rooms
8/10
The family room was a large bedroom, with a double bed, a single bed, and a travel cot. A good-sized shower room and toilet were available, along with a lounge area that included couches, chairs, and a TV.

Decent Stay

spacious room beautiful bathroom comfortable bed closed pub limited staff single glass
The room was spacious and beautiful! The bathroom was newly upgraded with everything I needed for a four night stay. The bed was dangerously comfortable, that posed a challenge to leave. The staff were unobtrusive!
I hadn't appreciated that the pub would be closed on a Monday. We let ourselves in. I didn't see anyone at all. The room only had one glass and one mug!

Lovely spot for touring, though!

The electric heating worked excellently! I could adjust it easily. The parking was also excellent. I was allowed to park my motorcycle right outside my room window. It was very helpful.
