charming inn experience
warm welcomeexcellent foodhelpful managercareful chef
the staff welcomed us warmly. i found the food excellent. andy, the manager, was particularly helpful (a real asset!). the chef took great care in preparing the breakfast.
i noticed the bathroom could use a bit more ventilation, but it wasn't a major issue.

the pub was popular with locals. it made it easy to chat with new people. the atmosphere in the bar was warm. it was a friendly and traditional place.

the breakfast had top quality ingredients. the black pudding was a highlight. the chef prepared a lovely cooked breakfast each morning. i also enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant.

the room was clean and warm. i found the king sized bed very comfortable. there was plenty of coffee and tea available. everything was provided for a good night's rest.

the staff was friendly. they were eager to please. the bar maids were particularly efficient. the room maids kept everything tidy . i felt well taken care of.

Wonderful Stay Experience

The staff provided breakfast at a time suitable for us. A table was reserved for us should we want dinner. The location works well for exploration of the moors and the coast. I enjoyed easy walks nearby and saw abundant wildlife.
I noticed the wall sockets in the bedroom were not secure.

The Inn has a lovely seating area outside with a fantastic display of flowers. It also has some quirky features, so it is interesting to sit out there. The bar is cosy and traditional.

The beautiful king room was clean. It was warm, and it featured a very comfortable king sized bed. The room had plenty of coffee and tea left by the staff.

The Inn's location is superb for exploring the moors and the coast. Easy walks are found all around. You see abundant wildlife during these walks.

The food was EXCELLENT!!! The breakfast was beautifully presented and very tasty. The restaurant food tasted first class too. The chef Mark even gave us a lift to Grosmont station.

the location provides easy access to both the moors and coast. i enjoyed convenient walks in the area and saw abundant wildlife. breakfast suited me well and they kept a table in case i wanted dinner.
the on off button of the shower became loose when using it making it hard to turn it off.
