friendly staff thai curry quiet location limited menu green vegetables yorkshire pudding
The staff seemed friendly DURING my visit. I enjoyed the red thai curry I had for my evening meal. The location was quiet so I SLEPT well.
I found the menu VERY limited. The roast lacked green vegetables as described. The yorkshire puddings tasted LIKE aunt bessie's.

decent stay with a few shortcomings
the room felt quite dark because it only had a single small window overlooking a courtyard the lights needed to be on all day to read the breakfast arrangement was disappointing the first morning had no cereal or juice offered only a cooked breakfast option was available

tea bags large cups delicious breakfast watery pinot bland white
The staff were friendly and helpful. the breakfast was delicious. i especially appreciated the yorkshire tea bags and big cups. It made the morning better. the soft, large bath sheets were also a nice touch.
The pinot rose tasted watery. it lacked flavor, disappointing for the price. also, a member of my group found the white pinot pretty bland. This affected the experience.

traditional pub experience
authentic building full character fresh food perfectly kept beer
i liked that the building displayed authentic details. it was full of character. the food was excellent pub fare. everything tasted fresh with full flavor. i found the beer perfectly kept.
the room was quite dark with only a single small window opening onto a courtyard so lights were needed all day.

the homemade soup featured cauliflower and parmesan. a crusty roll accompanied it. the pub also served well kept beer. they also offered local red wine from nearby vineyards.

the room featured crisp white sheets. it had large cups and yorkshire tea bags. large bath sheets were available. the bed was very comfortable. a spacious en-suite bathroom was available.

comfortable bed spacious bathroom well presented room
The Red Room was the best bedroom on my trip. The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom had a spacious design.
The breakfast timing was inflexible so I had to buy breakfast elsewhere.
