the staff placed balloons in my room and a happy birthday message on the bed it was a lovely touch. the breakfast was nicely cooked. service was attentive and good.
there was no phone reception even with wifi. the downstairs restaurant had a halloween party and the music played until 1.00am. the windows were old and not double glazed so the room was noisy and cold.

My friend and i enjoyed a lovely 5-night stay. the staff members were polite, helpful, friendly, and professional. It was excellent! the housekeeping team was prompt and accommodating, a great plus for our visit. i found the food in the restaurant very nice, with the lamb particularly tasty.
the stairs in the main hall showed noticeable grime, it needs more attention.

Our room was well-kept and clean. It added to the quality of our stay. the bedding was soft and of high quality. I had restful nights. the room's temperature controls were effective and easy to adjust.
