lovely receptionistswell kept hotelhomely feelingdown to earth nature
The receptionists were really lovely, and the hotel felt very well kept. it definitely gave me a feeling of being at home, which i appreciated after a long day of travel. i also enjoyed the down to earth nature of the place. It's a proper pub with rooms.
the room had a slightly uneven floor, so things felt a bit slanted. it is understandable given the age of the building, but it did impact my sleep just a little.

the staff provided a very warm welcome. nothing seemed too much trouble for them, and their hospitality shone through.

Charming Stay at the Dog-Friendly Inn

Sue, it was ever so thoughtful. The enclosed backyard provided a safe space for dogs to roam freely and this. My dog received a special gift upon arrival, such a loving touch. I really liked the atmosphere and the helpful owner.
My one very minor issue was the room floor, it was somewhat uneven, though I expect this in such an old building.

Breakfast was really good, they prepared it to my exact request with vegetarian options well catered for. The pub atmosphere was relaxed and amicable, obviously favored by locals. The space feels so inviting. I loved those delicious breakfasts.

The setting is picturesque, lovely, it offers easy access to beautiful walks in every direction! The pub's position made exploring the region easy and I think that's essential. It's so peaceful there.

the room needed some redecoration. it felt a bit shabby (though charming in its way).
