The breakfast veranda was a daily treat. delicious options were available in a serene garden. the spacious room included thoughtful designs. It ensured a restful stay. the pool area allowed me to unwind. The lush garden surrounds it. the whale-watching excursion showed us several whales.
The room ac was not working at its full potential. the room remained too hot during the night. It affected my sleep.

poor lightingslow service
I stayed in the villa, and while the pool access was nice, the walk back to the main area felt long and isolated at night. The path was poorly lit! and I sometimes had trouble finding my way. the breakfast service could use some work. On a couple of mornings, the staff seemed understaffed. This meant long waits for coffee or any Sri Lankan food. The buffet items ran out quickly.

my stay wasn't awful, but it wasn't great either. the air conditioning was subpar. the room remained uncomfortably warm. the shower had inconsistent water pressure. it was hard to get a comfortable shower (i even tried at different times of day).

i stayed in the lemongrass suite. it included a large balcony. it featured nice chairs and a daybed overlooking the lower gardens. breakfasts were served on the veranda overlooking the pool and gardens. breakfasts included a variety of fresh foods.
the wi-fi signal was sometimes poor. this made it occasionally difficult to connect.

the hotel felt peaceful. i felt immersed in nature, but also close enough to nearby attractions. the staff were really great. the breakfast was wonderful and the facilities such as the pool area felt magical for relaxation.
the wifi signal wasn't strong enough in all areas of the hotel. it sometimes. it was a minor inconvenience, but noticeable.

Really good Stay with Great Amenities

The gardens displayed a beautiful design. The pool offered a gorgeous view. I enjoyed the sunbathing areas. Breakfast was a delight, with eggs, fruit, toast, coffee, and a daily Sri Lankan specialty (the variety was fantastic).
The WiFi signal was somewhat weak in certain areas of the hotel.

decent breakfastrun-down roomearly morning noise
the breakfast was decent and plentiful.
i was quite disappointed with the room i received, it was not what i expected from the photos. the room felt a bit run-down and could use some maintenance.
