The staff was friendly. The room was spacious.
My room faced the parking area. Cars were moving. I also noticed some stains on the carpet. The carpet needs a better cleaning schedule or replacement.

the room decor was LOVELY. the pub offered a fantastic dinner in the garden and a hearty breakfast.
the rooms were not soundproofed though the walls seemed thin.

Kat greeted me warmly and showed me my room. The food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast. East Midlands Airport is a short drive away. This was very convenient. I plan to return in the future
I waited a while to be acknowledged when I arrived at the pub. Instructions for after-hours access to my room involved a side alley and unlocked patio doors. This caused some concern. Another guest locked the patio door, so I had to bang and shout to get in.

The staff made breakfast earlier for me. They introduced me to other solo travelers. Emma and the team were very kind. They looked after the guests well. It was busy, but they treated me well.

The dinner menu had good choices. The breakfast was hearty and magnificent. I enjoyed a rare summer evening dinner in the garden. I also stayed for sunday lunch, and there was excellent food.
