Wonderful Hotel Experience

takeaway sandwichhelpful informationprivate gardenorganized service
The staff prepared a takeaway sandwich since I checked out early. They provided helpful sat nav information for the taxi driver. The beautiful double room was on the ground floor and had a small private garden with a table and chairs. Breakfast included a varied menu with very well organized service.
The communal hall carpet outside the room was threadbare around the edges.
Dining

Breakfast offered a good a la carte selection with fresh, tasty options. I saw other customers enjoying the vibrant bar area in the evenings. The restaurant seemed popular, it showed many people enjoying their time.
Facilities

The hotel provided instant access to the bar area, very handy for a quick drink. A log fire in the pub created a cozy, relaxing atmosphere. Soft background music enhanced the ambiance, it did not drown out conversations.

The breakfast was great and tasty.
The room had unbearable heat because there was no air-conditioning. There was only one small noisy fan. It was necessary to keep it on all night and I got little sleep. The room also had big holes in corners.

I enjoyed the friendly staff. They were very cute. The food tasted good! I especially liked the steak pie. It was the best I ever had. The location is great. It's right in the middle of town center.
The common parts seemed worn. The stairs needed repainting. The staircase looked dirty. Breakfast offered only margarine. I prefer butter!
