large roomcomfortable roomfriendly staffdirty roomnoisy barkingold shower
the room was large. it was very comfortable. the toiletries had a lovely smell. i also enjoyed the extra touch. i could help myself to a nightcap. the pub decor was great. the staff were very friendly. the food tasted very good. they are dog friendly. we received a warm welcome with our pooch. they offered her many treats. i enjoyed that.
unfortunately, the room could have been cleaner. i saw mould on the ceiling. the room was not serviced unless i asked. the owners dogs lived above the rooms. they were let out after closing time along the corridor. it became very noisy with barking sometimes gone 11 oclock at night. the tv remote did not work. the shower seemed very old. it reminded me of something out of the sixties.

An idyll away from home

accommodating staffcomplimentary waterdelicious breakfastcharming village
The staff were accommodating and always available. I had a Standard King Room that featured complimentary bottled water and tea. Breakfast EACH morning was delicious, with many choices available. The location is in a charming village. It felt special.
The tv remote in my room didn't work. It was a minor inconvenience.

The room provided fresh milk for tea, a nice touch.
I had some issues with the room service. My room wasn't serviced unless I asked (I found that rather amusing, actually). No beds were made and the bins were not emptied.

the breakfast was tasty enough.
The noise levels became a problem. Some owners' dogs living above barked late at night. i found the room wasn't cleaned unless specifically requested, which i consider fairly poor.

mixed feelings about my stay

tv issueunkempt garden
the tv in my standard king room didn't work. it just displayed a blue screen, i tried everything, but nothing worked. also, the shower pressure was really low. it was hard to get the shampoo out of my hair, and that irritated me. its also annoying that the garden looks unkempt
