WOW, a good stay!

i enjoyed four wonderful nights here. the room included an AMAZING view. The staff members were friendly. i really appreciated the good food options. The gardens provided peaceful walks.
i noticed some slight dust on the curtain canopy within the dining area. It was nothing major, but i did observe it.

The hotel boasts easy access to the South coast path. i walked easily to the Ferry Boat inn on the river. The gardens offer tranquil routes to a private beach, very convenient.

The room featured a comfy bed, perfect after a long day. The ensuite was super clean. it had a refurbished shower with good water pressure. A bakelite telephone added a quirky, vintage touch.

Really good Experience!

I got a room upgrade to the Fox Suite without even asking. It featured garden views on three sides and a lovely balcony. The gardens were gorgeous, perfect for a tranquil walk to the beach. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and quite spacious.
Dinner was not quite as good as the other features. It was just a minor issue.

The spacious room featured a balcony with views of the gardens. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, it included a powerful shower. The gardens were beautiful, the walk to the beach was amazing. I enjoyed the coast path to Rosemullion Head to see wildflowers.
I noticed the evening menu needed more variety and a daily changeover.

The location is excellent with beautiful grounds and a private beach. It provided a tranquil escape.
The dining room service was a significant issue. Staff training seemed inadequate. Wine was placed on the table without offering a tasting. Breakfast also disappointed because the buffet was not maintained. I found a blob of jam on the floor.

strange hoursrobotic check-in
I was a bit bummed about a couple of things. first, the bar hours were strange. It didn't open until late afternoon, so my afternoon cocktail plans were scuppered. (i mean, who wants to wait until 6:30 pm for a gin and tonic?). also, the check-in process felt a bit robotic. I was told when my dinner and breakfast times would be, with very little room for negotiation. it was like i was back at boarding school with rigid schedules.
