a historical escape
excellent hallsparkland settinghistorical tapestriesspacious room
the building had a good look and it sat in great grounds i had a comfortable spacious room the tapestries were extraordinary and so historical the main halls had an excellent presence the parkland setting was superb it was not an ordinary place.
the canteen felt similar to a service station canteen it wasn't a restaurant

grounds are beautiful and the reception area includes a grand common room with a warm fire guests can get toasty the staff are cute and genuinely cheerful which contributes to a calming atmosphere.

The wedding venue was great. The building itself is beautiful. The location was superb. I also appreciated the convenient proximity to Goodwood.
The canteen felt more like a service station. It was not a restaurant.

historic charm and garden bliss

i was greeted warmly by the reception team, and they allowed me early access to my room. the building is beautiful, filled with historical charm. the next morning, i enjoyed coffee in the courtyard, a relaxing experience. free entry to the magnificent gardens was a wonderful bonus.
sadly, the shower in my room had very poor water pressure.

The breakfast included a good selection of items. I saw full english breakfast options, cereals, and fresh fruit. jams and toast were also available. It seemed very complete. i found it very convenient and fresh.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. I watched them escort a guest to their room. i noticed they provided clear directions to facilities like the breakfast room. the lift provides access to all upper floors. It works well.

My room felt quaint and transported me to another era. It had character. extra towels and pillows were provided in my room. i also saw a kettle and hair dryer. All very convenient .

Admirable stay

The architecture in the house is just fascinating. I discovered artwork by Surrealists on display, I found that to be a bonus. The grounds were well kept, I took advantage of the free garden access. Breakfast included many options such as pastries and a full English breakfast.

mixed feelings about the stay
good locationpoor curtainscreaky floorboards
the location was good and convenient for my travel plans.
I was disappointed in my room. The curtains did not fully close, letting in too much light. also, the room lacked a tv, which i missed, and there was no phone either. the floorboards creaked a lot as well.
