market noisecar park information
The hotel did not inform me about the market days. i parked in the market place and workers erecting stalls woke me at 6 am. The market surrounded my car. it took me 30 minutes to get my car out so i was late for an important meeting. the hotel has its own car park but they provided no information about it, not in the room or at reception. this was disappointing.

The room had a similar scent. I noted the bathroom fittings could use an upgrade? The TV signal was hit and miss.

clean roommissing lockfire regulations
the room had everything needed for a comfortable night. it was also very clean.
the rooms not having locks was concerning for me as a solo female traveler. i had to move the furniture against the door to feel safer. the hotel stated it was to meet fire regulations, but i have never stayed in a hotel with no locks.

fantastic stay!

bigger roomhelpful staffcomfy bedsquiet environment
i got an upgrade to a bigger room and it was worth it. the staff were helpful and very cute! parking was good, and finding the place was easy. the comfy beds were a bonus, it was so quiet, i couldn't hear other people!
I think they could try harder with the reception area, it felt a bit dreary. It has great potential with its high ceilings!
Rooms
9/10
the superior double room featured generously sized soft towels and lovely smelling toiletries in the bathroom, i thought. fridges and microwaves were a great bonus, they were a nice surprise in the room.
Dining
8/10
the bar offered bateman's beers, that was so cool. there are many dining options within walking distance, that's very handy! shops are close by too, if you want to get a snack.
Facilities

the hotel had free private parking , always a plus. the car park is big enough for everyone. there are great road links in all directions, good.

Wonderful Stay at a Charming Hotel

friendly staffclean roomdusty radiator
The staff were friendly and helpful. My room was very clean with soap, shower gel, and shampoo available. I appreciated the comfy bed (I slept like a log!). The hotel also accommodated my dog, and the room remained fresh .
The radiator in the bathroom had some dust, and the TV aerial also had dust. I had to adjust the aerial to improve the reception when changing channels.
Dining
8/10
Though the hotel does not offer food service, they provided plates and cutlery. I was able to bring in food from a nearby takeaway and eat in the bar area. The hotel bar operated fully, convenient.
Service
9/10
The staff members were very helpful and accommodating . They provided information when I needed anything during the night. Andy was particularly friendly (he.).
Location
9/10
The hotel's location proved convenient for my travel plans. It was easy to access nearby points of interest. I also found a nice café just around the corner to have breakfast.
Rooms
10/10
The room refurbishment resulted in a pleasant and modern look. The bathroom was well-appointed with modern fixtures. I also had plenty of tea, coffee, milk, and a kettle in the room.
