Acceptable stay overall
The staff were cute. It was a bonus that our room was ready when we checked in early. The complimentary late check out was also appreciated, as we were competing in a race.
The service in the restaurant was not great.

the team was always helpful and efficient. i found the interiors to be great. the location of the hotel worked well (it is close to many things).
the absence of heated towel rails in the bathrooms meant the towels stayed soggy, requiring daily replacements.

adequate but underwhelming visit
unappealing buffet poor service
the breakfast service was a mess. i was told to find my own table. i spent several minutes wandering around trying to find one that was set up. the buffet was unappealing. you had to go into a different room to toast bread, assuming you could find any. this situation took over fifteen minutes. it certainly ruined my morning.
