Decent Location, but Some Issues Noted
unhelpful attitude unexpected fine
The staff seemed rather indifferent. I found their attitude unhelpful when I inquired about parking (this resulted in an unexpected fine). I sent an email outlining my issue, but did not receive any understanding or reflection from the manager (he was disinterested in preventing similar issues in the future).

Wonderful Stay
clean room comfortable room friendly staff delicious breakfast
The location provided various restaurants. I appreciated the clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was delicious! and the staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The bed included two toppers with crisp, white, divine linen.
The windows were single glazed. I noticed constant noise at times.

Breakfast included a refreshing glass of juice. I also enjoyed the excellent cup of coffee served. The food was excellent, and there was a good selection available each morning. The restaurant is located across the green from the rooms.

My room had a lovely ensuite with a large shower. Everything was tastefully decorated. There was a kettle. I found a Nespresso machine to make hot drinks, along with a quiet fridge hidden inside a wooden sideboard. The bed was very comfortable.

The location was quiet. I noticed many restaurants nearby. There is a secret garden at the back with steps up to a wonderfully secluded sun terrace. I could see some of the best views of the bay towards Drakes Island.

Staff in the restaurant were really friendly and helpful. I especially liked their attentiveness during breakfast. The check in process was efficient. I found the staff really good.

The marina and other restaurants are approximately a 4 minutes walk away. Taxi rides from the rail station to the hotel take only about 6-7 minutes, this was very practical. There is also parking included.

comfortable bed clean room quiet evening small room poor lighting nowhere to put clothes
the room was light and clean. the bed was very comfortable. i also noted it was surprisingly quiet in the evening. breakfast included a full english.
our room was very small, it made getting ready difficult. lighting was poor (i could barely see myself in the mirror). we found nowhere to put our clothes.
