The staff was very cute. I was pleased with the room. it was nicely decorated and thoughtfully furnished. the bathroom was warm with a good shower.
The orange juice tasted watery. It seemed cheap. you had to serve yourself tea and coffee in the morning. There was no personal touch. i felt sorry for the older guests, some struggled.

the room was clean and the linen was of good quality. the bed was comfy.
the coffee and tea station in the bedroom was disappointing. there were only four little sachets of coffee provided. the jar with cookies saying 'help yourself' was also empty which was a letdown.

the room was adequately sized and generally met my basic expectations.
The service at breakfast was a mess. The lone waitress struggled to manage all the tasks alone, resulting in significant delays. there were broken fixtures in the room, like the bedside lamp with exposed wires and a shattered window pane, none of which were addressed despite reporting them to staff. frankly, it made me question their commitment to guest well-being, and no one even bothered to reply to my email afterward.

a romantic getaway
fabulous showercalm experiencegreat foodservice delay
the shower was fabulous i loved its power and controls the breakfast included a sausage especially for our dog. the room provided us quiet and calm it was a very lovely experience. the hotel prepared great food and served it nice and hot exactly as we like it.
the hotel service had a notable delay one night it seemed due to limited staff. the waiting staff provided complimentary drinks i appreciate the compensation.

the location is very accessible to the surrounding area many good walks and nice cafes are nearby. this hotel is at the village centre it is indeed very convenient. guests find everything needed for a nice stay.

i was impressed by the super clean room. The included sky tv was A bonus. Breakfast in the pub was also excellent. It was nice to stay where we often visit from north devon.
