Centrally Located Delight

central locationhelpful staffbreakfast varietystreet noise
This hotel provides a great location close to many attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful . Breakfast included a wide variety of choices and the omelet station was a treat. I also appreciated the clean and well kept facilities.
I found the street noise at night a bit disruptive. Light sleepers might want to request a room away from the main street. closing the windows minimized the sound, offering a more peaceful sleep environment.

Solid Stay!

friendly staffspacious roomconvenient waterclogged drains
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious for three people, a great bonus. I really liked the purified water dispenser on each floor and the water carafe in the room. This meant I did not have to buy bottled water, it was so convenient!
I did notice that the shower drains were a bit clogged. the hotel seemed like an older building, needing some cleaning updates. These small fixes would.
Rooms

Our Queen Room featured comfortable beds and a super spacious, hot shower. Still and ambient water were available, this was so helpful. The castle view with our twin beds was amazing!!!

Central and Convenient Stay

excellent locationuseful fridgesoft towelstreet noise
The location proved excellent. I found myself within easy walking distance of many key attractions. My room included a useful fridge and a kettle. I enjoyed soft, fluffy towels in the bathroom. The staff were efficient, which I appreciated (especially during check-in).
The street noise at the front of the hotel was noticeable, even with the windows closed. This made it a bit difficult to fall asleep early.
Dining
8/10
The breakfast selection was solid. There was some fresh fruit along with basic cereal. I was able to choose from a cooked breakfast menu, and it filled me up well (the Scottish breakfast was particularly good).
Service
9/10
The reception and housekeeping teams were quite friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated their responsiveness to requests and their willingness to assist with directions.

Average stay, some issues noted

good locationmissing soundproofing
The location was good for accessing different parts of the city, that was convenient.
I found the lack of soundproofing to be a real problem. I could hear street noise all night. This made it very difficult to get a decent night's sleep, a major downside.
