unauthorized deposit useless staff

The staff took a hefty security deposit from my card. I paid everything upfront. They didn't even bother to inform me about this extra charge. Now? I'm fighting to get my money back. The reception staff were useless. They couldn't resolve the issue.

The room was clean. The bed was big and very comfortable. The communal area in reception has a great coffee machine and drinking water tap! I enjoyed the nice rituals products in the bathroom. There were plenty of plug sockets. I found the hotel in a nice area. It is located very close to a metro station. The hotel has been beautifully decorated. The staff were super friendly! They gave a little tour of the hotel facilities.

the location is near a metro station. i found several bakeries nearby. montparnasse is a short walk, it offers nice dinner options.

the staff seemed new, maybe not fully trained.

the breakfast had missing items and some equipment didn't work. croissants were sometimes burned, sometimes raw. i saw scrambled eggs that seemed off.
