comfortable stay near halifax
ample parkinglovely breakfasttired room
i found easy access with ample parking, convenient since i was driving. the breakfast was delicious (i especially enjoyed the freshly cooked options). the staff were consistently lovely. i appreciated the quiet atmosphere at night,.
the room i stayed in looked a bit tired, and the carpet showed some visible wear. i think a deeper clean of the carpets could improve the overall impression. the bathroom grout also could have used some attention.
Rooms
8/10
the standard family room included comfortable beds. large bath sheets were supplied in abundance. the room was also very quiet, appreciated.
Dining
9/10
the hotel served a great breakfast with a selection of cereals, juices, and fresh fruit. hot breakfast items were cooked to order. there was also a bar area open until late.
Facilities
9/10
there was plenty of parking available both on the road and at the rear of the hotel. the hotel is located a short walk from a local pub. low moor train station is close by offering easy access to halifax.
The reception was warm. Our room was perfect and clean inside. The reception area was very nice.
The pillows were flat. This led to a sleepless night. New, fuller pillows would give a better sleep. I struggled to sleep, as the mattress was poor.

reliable stay
breakfast selectionfriendly staffpowerful showerfaulty tv
The breakfast selection included many choices. The staff was friendly, from when i arrived until i checked out. The shower had great pressure, which i always appreciate after a long day. the hotel supplied an iron and ironing board promptly when i asked.
I did notice that the tv in the room was not working correctly. It seemed to have some issues with reception. it was a minor inconvenience, but something i think should be looked at to improve the guest experience.
Rooms
9/10
my room had plenty of charging sockets, even including usb ones, convenient. they provided sufficient tea and coffee. i found the hot shower and water pressure quite strong, a welcome feature.
Location
8/10
the hotel offers good parking facilities, always a plus. it made access easy. the position is also very quiet, even with a wedding happening in the building.
Facilities

the bar prices seemed fair. the bar remained open until midnight, great for a late drink. i felt the staff were available and helpful in all areas of the hotel.
