The hotel location was superb for exploring the area. i appreciated the complimentary scones and pastries available each day. They tasted amazing!!! the staff members were always friendly and ready to help with anything i needed.
The room i booked lacked daily service, and i had to request it specifically. This was inconvenient.

the towel rail in the bathroom wasn't working when i arrived. it took about 10 minutes for them to get it sorted. the room rate seemed a bit high compared to other local options.

the staff offered a warm welcome and were helpful throughout my stay. sarah provided assistance at check-in. she offered information and printed a gluten-free menu for the sister hotel's restaurant. i received a complimentary upgrade to a superior room facing the river and bridge.
the second night featured a fire alarm in the middle of the night. i had to evacuate and wait outside for a considerable period. this disturbed my sleep and impacted the following day.

the grounds felt immaculate and were a pleasure. breakfast was specially prepared, which i liked. parking was excellent with allocated parking bays i found.
the reception is in the corner of the bar and it felt weird.
