great attentionfriendly staffdog friendlythin wall
i stayed in the beautiful double room shower and it blew me away! the room had such great attention to detail! the staff welcomed my dog like royalty, even bringing him a sausage at breakfast. the food at dexter's was very nice! i indulged in both breakfast and dinner and it was good.
the old building did have paper thin walls, i could hear everything upstairs. next time, i will ask for a room away from the bar area.

mixed experience due to noise issues
constant noiseunpleasant experience
the noise throughout the hotel was quite bothersome i heard it mostly at night it did affect my sleep quality the source seemed to be a large pipe on the side of the building while staff offered a different room the noise persisted the cost felt high considering the disturbance.

the breakfast had a good selection. the room at the top of the hotel had good air conditioning. there were big towels and a mini fridge also.
there were too many stairs at the hotel, I found low beams in the bedroom, and the lighting was poor. I know the hotel is old though I wasn't aware of the navigation difficulties. I am an older traveller.
