a pleasant stay

i had a four night stay. the building had historic character. the bed was very large. the food was excellent with plenty of choice (i especially liked how hot it was). the staff were great and always willing to help.
the hotel is a bit rundown inside. the paint was falling off the walls near the main door. the long room was freezing so i had to wear my coat. the menu was the same as last year, so an updated menu would be welcome.

I enjoyed the friendly and helpful staff. They assisted with my suitcase. the food selection was great. I liked the fresh ingredients. the location proved convenient for exploring the area. the hotel provided a really comfortable stay.
i noticed the exterior paint looked somewhat worn. this affected the initial impression. the building could look amazing with some tlc.

The double room included a comfortable bed, a working television, and ample storage space. bottled water was provided daily. Toiletries were also replenished each day. the room provided a relaxing atmosphere for the stay.

The restaurant provided really good meals. The breakfast was AMAZING!!! I particularly enjoyed the selection of local cheeses and smoked salmon. The dinner menu offered many choices. The service was attentive and friendly.
The corridor lighting was a little dim at night.
