colonial charm was so great

spacious suiteseparate powder roomattentive stafftraffic noise
i was excited to discover the junior suite was super spacious and well maintained. having a separate powder room with a wash basin and wc was a surprise. fresh air was ducted into the room through ceiling vents instead of air conditioning that was a bonus. the staff at breakfast remembered how i take my coffee and juice that was amazing!
the main road nearby caused some traffic noise during the night. earplugs were provided in the room. i still had some trouble sleeping despite the earplugs

I appreciated the warm welcome. refreshing towels and soothing tea awaited me at check-in. the staff assisted with luggage. They ensured a smooth arrival. the hotel exudes a timeless charm due to its colonial-style architecture. i also enjoyed having drinks at the bar.
i noticed the absence of an elevator. navigating the steps to the front entrance proved challenging. a side entrance with fewer steps was reportedly closed . this posed an inconvenience, especially with luggage.

Breakfast offered menu options. This included hot dishes. fresh bread, croissants, muffins, and toast were available. the option to order hot dishes was convenient. It complemented the buffet spread, with all items being amazing!!!

The staff were attentive. They assisted with luggage. the bartender's craft skills and friendly approach stood out. service from sugi, the balinese server, was excellent during a steamboat dinner.

the room was spacious and had a british style which was acceptable.
i was frustrated by noise from the street it seemed to have poor insulation i could hear neighbors through the walls they provided earplugs in the room but my sleep suffered. breakfast was also limited and below average considering the price.

amazing stay!

This beautiful hotel gave me a magnificent three nights. i really enjoy eating in both restaurants. The steamboat was special. i took a really fun walk in the forest with madi to learn about jim thompson. ottan took me on a walk too and knew everything about plants and animals. It was awesome. i'll stay here again when i visit.

The hotel includes a well equipped games room for families with children. I saw several families spending time there. the hotel features japanese koi carp in the ponds. Those fish were calm and beautiful. the hotel has a timeless and elegant atmosphere too.

This place is in a perfect spot for exploring tea plantations. I saw strawberry farms close by too. tanah rata is easy to get to by taxi. Grab is another option. a local night market was easy to reach. I tasted a lot of local food there.

Our junior suite was wonderful and clean. The beds were comfortable. the bathroom includes a big shower. the room was quiet. The balcony had flowers on it.

Staff members were always helpful and courteous to me. anji answered our questions with patience and gave us great recommendations for food and activities. sugi accompanied us during the valentine's day picnic. He was very friendly.
