the staff provided amazing hospitality they went the extra mile from start to finish the atmosphere felt very relaxed the whole place was very clean
the toilet roll holder was hanging off the wall which was a small inconvenience

charming stay in quaint locale
spacious roomlocal alestasty wine
the room was spacious and included a nice en-suite. the pub provided good food with local ales. the staff helped me find a spot even though it was full and i had not booked dinner. they served some tasty english wines too.
the continental breakfast choice was a bit limited for the price of the stay.

I sampled pizzas one evening with family. they were the best pizzas i have ever had. So tasty. the pub meals were available regularly, that's great! the steak sandwich was described as famous, so i tried it. I wasnt disappointed.

The room was clean. the room facilities were good. the bar staff created a friendly atmosphere with a superb drink selection. the pub itself felt cosy and inviting. The log fire was lovely!

the staff seemed nice enough, i guess.
The room felt quite sterile. The heater didn't seem to work properly, which wasn't ideal. there were no bedside lights either, only a large nightlight in the ceiling and the housekeeping wasn't great. they cleared away a broken glass after i reported it, but they ignored my request for a kettle and extra loo rolls.

Check-in was simple and efficient. the team was helpful. I secured taxi bookings effortlessly. the cleanliness was amazing. The room sparkled! breakfast included fresh croissants and cereal.
the bathroom door squeaked occasionally. it woke my love from her slumber.

breakfast each morning included pastries just out of the oven. coffee was made with a smile! the overall dining atmosphere seemed perfect. it was a romantic dream come true.

the location was an absolute gift to us. it was a fantastic base for hiking sections of the south downs way. we explored hand in hand. the nature was lovely!!!
