I was given a complimentary upgrade to the Grand Hotel Savoia. The location is very convenient near the central station. My room was clean with essential amenities. I found the beds to be particularly comfortable.
The tv in my room did not work properly. Many channels were unavailable for viewing. I suspect the issue was weather-related.

the location is very convenient. it is close to the train station. i appreciated the cleanliness throughout the hotel. the staff were friendly and helpful.
i noticed some noise from outside. it was disruptive for sleeping one night.

broken air conditioningmissing amenities
I encountered some issues i wasn't thrilled about. the air conditioning wasn't working properly despite me reporting it three times. staff attempted fixes, but none resolved the heat issue. I had to use a fan. they also didn't replenish coffee, creamer, sweeteners, or toilet paper. the hairdryer overheated after a few minutes. this fell short of expectations for a hotel of this supposed standard.
