I was part of a group. I must say the luggage situation was a headache. There were no trolleys available. Moving our bags seemed like an uphill battle. the butternut squash dish I ordered was sadly undercooked. The squash was actually raw. I found it uneatable. The restaurant service, overall, was a bit slow considering it wasn't too busy.

The staff were lovely. they really went the extra mile to. It was my birthday. the room was fine. there were kind personal touches, and i loved the games room. i also enjoyed the lovely country walks.
The bedroom was a little noisy, and i could hear footsteps from the floor above. This slightly impacted the tranquility.

Food preparation used fresh local produce. breakfast had superb service and was particularly fantastic. The restaurant offered helpful advice and suggestions regarding food. the bar had excellent suggestions on wine and cocktails.

the hotel had beautiful grounds. the location is amazing with the alice in wonderland connection. the hotel is set in a fantastic country setting. the spa was just so zen and provided a relaxing experience.

the breakfast buffet included many delicious options, so that was acceptable.
The lighting after dark made it impossible to read in common areas. I asked if lights could be turned up, but the bar tender said the manager would reprimand him if it was done! light in the room also proved poor for reading or writing. it reminded me of such a simple thing, but it really detracted from the overall experience. i felt very frustrated.

The main hotel area and bar area were lovely. Our "Wildflower Terrace" room was a decent size and had a really nice terrace. The breakfast had a lovely choice and was plentiful!!!

The grounds were beautiful. The food was great. The spa area seemed nice. The decor was really cool.
The bedroom was noisy. I could hear footsteps from the floor above. The toilet blocked several times. Staff were not particularly responsive.
