excellent stay, attentive host
useful chargers english breakfast local advice bedside lamps
the room included thoughtful extras like cotton buds and toothpicks , a very nice touch. there were usb chargers built into the bedside lamps, which proved useful. breakfast offered tasty options, and i found the full english to be well prepared. i received great local advice on sights to see .
the front door remained unlocked throughout my stay , only the individual rooms had locks.

the hotel sits in a quiet roadside location , perfect for accessing the western lakes area. nearby amenities include shops and services , all within a short drive of approximately three miles.

clean hotel thoughtful touches ideal location basic locks open door security concern
the location is ideal for anyone looking to explore nearby mountains. the hotel is very clean and well maintained. i found a lot of thoughtful touches in the room that enhanced my stay (i was quite impressed).
i noticed that the front door remains unlocked at all times. rooms feature only basic locks. i thought security could be improved. (this is just my perspective).

an adequate stay with minor issues
helpful owner local area dusty room spider cobwebs
the owner seemed helpful with local area information. rooms had everything one might need.
the room was not great, as it felt quite dusty and lacked proper cleaning. i also spotted some cobwebs with spiders, a detail i found rather unpleasant. the water container proved to be quite large, causing spills when i attempted to fill the kettle.

a heavenly escape!
warm greeting extra binoculars comfortable bed
Jo greeted us so warmly, it reminded me of visiting family. the room had binoculars, so we enjoyed closer views. breakfast included both continental and full english options. I savored every bite. the bed was wonderfully comfy.
i noticed a container was quite large, it spilled a bit when i filled the kettle.

Excellent B&B Experience
excellent value down to earth host soft bed lovely accommodation
I have stayed at this B&B before. The value for money is excellent. Jo is a down to earth host and has thought of everything guests could possibly want. The breakfast was great (especially the sausages!). Jo had thought of everything in the room. I found both a nail file and an umbrella. The bed was soft after my hike up Scafell Mountain. The location was good. The accommodation was lovely, and the breakfast was really good. I can recommend this place. Everything was perfect. The loveliest cosiest B&B, I loved it! It had everything in the rooms to.
The front door was unlocked 24/7, and rooms were fitted with simple locks.

weak water pressure limited tv channels
I found a couple of things less than satisfactory. The shower's water pressure was quite weak. It made rinsing off shampoo a real chore. the selection of television channels was limited. I expected more options for evening entertainment after a day outdoors.
