the staff were generally friendly and the location was indeed picturesque.

The artwork felt out of place. Pieces of paper stuck on the walls advertising sales of art seemed cheap. the rooms felt quite small and cluttered, despite the good quality toiletries and comfortable beds. dinner was disappointing with a brightly lit restaurant lacking atmosphere, the food standard was that of my local pub.

The food had great quality. The staff were super friendly, polite, and efficient. i enjoyed the setting and the peaceful nature of the place! i loved all the lit fires and cozy corners. the reception gentleman was efficient and helpful during check-in and check-out.

i dined in the garden room and found it underwhelming for the price i paid.

The room itself was not what I expect. I saw stains on the carpet and the bathroom looked grime. Breakfast proved a real letdown as I waited excessive time for my food.

I appreciated the dog-friendly nature of the hotel. Beautiful walks are available right from the doorstep. Staff members I encountered throughout the hotel were really good. I want to especially mention the restaurant staff during breakfast service on both mornings. The service was prompt and attentive, and the staff ensured all needs were met promptly.

i appreciated the warm welcome and tour upon arrival. my luggage was taken directly to the room. the included treats basket featured biscuits, crisps, and chocolate truffles.

i found traces of dog hair on the carpet in my room. the level of service was disappointing. i will not return for those reasons. the cleanliness was very poor.
