a dreamy scottish getaway!
helpful staffdistilled gin
the staff were helpful. they quickly provided a fan for our room on a particularly warm night. the hotel's own distilled gin was a definite highlight. I particularly enjoyed it. the food options are the same in the bar and restaurant, made deciding easy.

The conservatory had lovely views of the countryside. Breakfast was presented beautifully there. Cooked breakfast was perfect!!! The service was quick and professional. The staff members were very cute. I found them cheery.
The single-lane track leading to the hotel is difficult to navigate. I advise confidence driving in reverse.

I enjoyed the food at the bar each night. The three meals were some of the best I've had in a long time. The chef accommodated my dietary needs without any problems. The staff was also great, especially the New Zealander behind the bar. She was very attentive.
The hotel seems to need some repair. I noticed the rooms were not well looked after. Specifically, the toilet seat in my room was broken. This oversight was unfortunate.
