the service was attentive. every staff member was gentle and professional. the ambience felt luxurious. the rooms are beautifully designed and comfortable.. they were a true retreat. the food was excellent and thoughtfully prepared.
the room was noisy due to street traffic. i understand this may be outside the hotel's control. i did not experience this noise level at other hotels . after checking out, i was unexpectedly charged an additional fee.

Really good Stay at Townhouse

great thoughtexcellent attentionlovely viewequipped gym
The staff demonstrated excellent attention to detail. I found the service to be really good. The building architecture was amazing. The owners clearly gave great thought to providing everything needed. I especially enjoyed the rooftop bar, a members-only area with lovely sunset views. I found the gym well equipped for my workout needs. I also appreciated the convenient location allowing me to walk everywhere.
The single sink in the large bathroom was an odd design choice.
Facilities

The gym has several treadmills and weights. I noticed the rooftop bar is exclusive to residents and members. The hotel offered complimentary classes, though i did not attend them. I saw that the spa has limited availability.

delayed servicecold plates
Breakfast service was significantly delayed. It took nearly an hour to receive a simple order of poached eggs on toast. The eggs were initially missing and took an additional ten minutes to arrive. I found it unprofessional that the management sent a young, inexperienced staff member to apologize for kitchen errors. A more senior staff member should have addressed the problem. This situation and the lack of response at checkout suggest a need for improved handling of guest concerns. The cold plates didn't help either.

perfect city escape

peaceful roomspacious bathroominattentive staff
I enjoyed my time in the house room. It felt so peaceful, even with the window open at night. the bathroom was quite spacious, and i loved the super shower (a perfect way to wake up!). breakfast had great options, everything prepared to order. The quality was really high. i had drinks each night at the rooftop bar.
the restaurant experience was a bit of a letdown (sadly!). the waiting staff seemed more focused on their tablets. this made it difficult to get their attention for simple things, like refilling a drink. i felt some attention to this could improve the experience.

Breakfast proved a bit of a letdown, I must say. The potato scone seemed like it had been sitting a while. It was far too hard. The promised view also didn't materialise. I booked expecting a nice outlook, but the window just faced a wall. It was a bit of a disappointment, especially given how much I paid.
