fresh produce quality responsiveness lively bar weak tea laurel resting
the breakfast was AMAZING!!! I was particularly impressed by the quality of the fresh produce. The staff responded to all our requests instantly and with a smile. The hotel bar is lively in the evenings, and locals frequent it adding a real atmosphere.
laurel resting seems to have crept in. I called for a cup of tea and cake in the afternoon after sales shopping.

some letdowns despite the reputation
weak tea bored staff
i called for tea and cake during an afternoon shopping trip. too many staff seemed bored and were gossiping near the bar. the earl grey tea was weak (it needed more tea for such a big pot). it took a while to get someone's attention to change it for a flat white.

beautiful rooms lounge areas great service
The hotel was like a real sanctuary. Beautiful rooms and lounge areas existed. I experienced great service throughout the hotel. I really appreciated the hotel smelling magnificent and the gym facilities.
The outdoor dining area felt busy though the surrounding streets were very busy. It was a bit of a contrast.
