some letdowns despite the reputation

weak teabored staff
i called for tea and cake during an afternoon shopping trip. too many staff seemed bored and were gossiping near the bar. the earl grey tea was weak (it needed more tea for such a big pot). it took a while to get someone's attention to change it for a flat white.

The hotel reminded me of a real sanctuary. Beautiful rooms and lounge areas existed. I experienced great service throughout the hotel. I really appreciated the hotel smelling magnificent and the gym facilities.
The outdoor dining area felt busy though the surrounding streets were very busy. It was a bit of a contrast.

Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at any hotel. The quality of the fresh produce particularly impressed me. The hotel bar is very lively in the evenings. Its popularity with locals creates a fantastic atmosphere.

The location is central to where I wanted to be! It was like a convenient location for exploring. The hotel is tucked away in the beginning of an area. It provided a sense of calm.
