small basin inadequate lighting
I found a few areas needing improvement. The bathroom wash basin was far too small. It made washing difficult. The lighting was also inadequate , it was difficult to read in the evening. I would have expected better for the price.

The hosts extended a VERY warm welcome, and I received helpful advice about the surrounding area. The room featured excellent amenities and a high standard of comfort. I found the breakfast to be very good within a charming dining area.
I noticed that tables were a little sticky, and the room wasn't serviced daily. I HAD to ask for fresh tea and coffee. The bin was not emptied .

Excellent Stay Near Town

spacious room ample storage coffee tray
The room was spacious. I appreciated having lots of storage and surfaces for my belongings. The tea and coffee tray was well-stocked. I especially enjoyed the cooked breakfast, it had grilled items and lacked grease.
I found the tables in the common area sticky. It. I wish they were cleaned more often.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast included a great selection of items. I had a cooked breakfast each morning with grilled food. The breakfast room itself felt cute and resembled a former country pub (very cozy!).
Location
10/10
The location provided easy access to a nearby town. I liked that there were printed maps available, detailing walks into town through countryside and sheep fields. A taxi ride back at night only cost £10.
Rooms
9/10
My room was spacious and clean. It had excellent facilities for both myself and my dog. The shower room was particularly good, it had a powerful shower. (I really needed that after a long day of hiking!)
