the food was acceptable, though i suspect the chef had a good day.
The sunbeds are uncomfortable. I don't know who chose those. the tiles in the breakfast area looked to have never see a proper cleaning. also, my room smelled faintly of mildew, and i swear the curtains were older than me.

the grounds were meticulously maintained. i saw various birds and wildlife. baboons and deer roamed near my room! i stayed in a family suite. it was spacious, clean and homely. it included a large entrance for luggage storage.
the wi-fi signal was weak in certain areas of the hotel. this was inconvenient when i needed to work remotely.

the staff were attentive and kind. travis arranged everything efficiently before i asked about my room! he ensured my luggage was promptly delivered. nothing seemed too much trouble for the team.

the sage restaurant had top-quality food. the menus were extensive and delicious. the breakfast conservatory offered both buffet and a la carte options! i enjoyed the granola. it was tasty.

the hotel features a lounge with an honesty bar. it created a perfect spot for after-dinner drinks. there was an outdoor fire pit available. this added to the relaxing atmosphere for evening gatherings.

well kept groundssuperb foodsmoky fireplaceovercooked steak
The grounds are extensive and very well maintained. I ate in each of the three restaurants on site and the food was superb! Breakfasts each morning were great too. THE Gym has a beautiful view.
The bedroom fireplace was SO smoky. I had to sleep with windows open as I am asthmatic! My husband was served a very tough and overcooked steak.

Idyllic stay with really good service
forest chapeldining experienceearly check-in
I found the morning wedding in the forest chapel special. The venue reminded me of a fairytale. the on-site restaurant zinzi offered an lovely dining experience. they thoughtfully allowed us early check-in, ensuring i could freshen up before the wedding at 11 am.

the grounds are beautiful. i enjoyed walking around them. there are three restaurants on site. the main house is appointed nicely.
the road to get there is difficult. a car is needed to travel to nearby towns. i found the road access problematic. i also thought the breakfast area was not clean enough. the tiles looked like they needed cleaning.
