The hotel bar area is nice. It features complimentary wine plus sake . The staff was friendly plus accommodating. They offer luggage storage. My room had enough space for suitcases.
The room did not have great ventilation. This made sleeping difficult.

The staff ARE helpful. They helped me store luggage. They communicated in perfect English. They offered free sake EVERY day! This is the best. Breakfast includes vegan options and a traditional Japanese set.
The hotel LACKS a laundry facility, I had to use one nearby.

The hotel provides essential toiletries SUCH AS a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, and a razor. There is a restaurant in the lobby. This restaurant serves modern, Westernized meals. A kid area WAS a great touch.

The staff speaks English. The staff IS friendly and available. One staff member ran to Yamato Transport to locate my delayed luggage. The staff ALSO offered to send my luggage to Tokyo if needed.

Shijo metro station IS only a five minute walk. The location provides easy access to many temples. Several shops and restaurants ARE nearby. Golden and Silver temples are very accessible from this place.

the location is convenient with many restaurants nearby. the staff were kind. breakfast included delicious vegan french toast, an unexpected treat.
the air conditioning made consistent noises, even when turned off. there was no way to control the lights from the bed. i could smell cigarette smoke very strongly in my bathroom, unpleasant.

the staff offered Really good service and quickly addressed every need i had. i found the free sake tasting each evening to be a real treat. the hotel provides complimentary coffee and tea, which i drank often in the lobby's comfortable seating area. i also greatly appreciated the cleanliness maintained throughout the hotel.
the room LACKED sufficient storage space, made organizing my belongings a little challenging.
