cold roomcracked tile
The room was cold when i walked in. a window was open! it stayed chilly until the next morning when the heating seemed to finally kick in. i wish there had been a safe for my stuff. also? there was a big crack in the tile right by the toilet. Watch your bare feet! the bath lacked a handle and the shower was tricky to turn. i have arthritis in my hands, you see. Turning things is hard.

I found the grounds quite nice. The breakfast was great too. The reception staff was VERY cute. They were accommodating regarding my lactose intolerance. They provided oat milk.
The bathroom taps were stiff to operate. The room looked tired as well. The menu did not appeal to me, but there are other places to eat nearby. I felt the 10% service charge on all bills was excessive. It should be optional.

The location is convenient for travel to liverpool. It sits in the countryside yet close to the city. the rooms are different from typical hotel chains. all staff i encountered were friendly and helpful. the evening meal was high quality and served with care.
I noticed the inside needed a more thorough cleaning. It looked a bit tired.

our wedding day was last saturday, and i am so happy to share our experience. friends told us this was the number one venue, and they were completely right. the whole day felt perfect from start to finish, with every detail meticulously planned. the food was a delight, from the canapés to the main meal, to the late-night bacon butties.
