The rooms are simple but comfortable. bathrooms are tiny and pretty basic. the welcome drink was never offered. It was sitting there on the desk throughout the entire check-in process.

hotel shortcomings
sulphur smell bland location
the restaurant provided excellent meals , probably the best i had in iceland.
The hotel area smells strongly of sulphur due to the geothermal activity , which is quite unpleasant. the room lacked proper air circulation . also , the views were unremarkable . The location felt bland overall.

underwhelming stay
tiny bathroom basic bathroom
the breakfast buffet was fine (it had enough variety).
The bathroom was tiny and pretty basic. There was very little space to put anything. the 'spa' is just a tepid sauna and a simple hot pool, nothing special.

Service
9/10
The staff members were friendly and helpful, especially Ivan! Many spoke Spanish, ensuring clear communication. They were really accommodating and provided a wake-up call for the northern lights.
The outdoor geothermic pool was especially romantic. I was so lucky. I witnessed the most beautiful aurora display while relaxing there for hours. One of the hotel staff members kindly helped me with my car. He assisted me with driving out of its snowy parking space when I was leaving.
The corridors lacked lighting. The minibar was empty . The wallpaper started to fall off of the walls too
