authentic ryokan experience
quality food onsen facilities
I loved the location. It was close to the shrine, the shopping street, and daisho temple. top-quality food was served (i especially enjoyed the kaiseki dinner!). the onsen facilities offered a good experience.
the futons were not very comfortable for sleeping. they could use an upgrade to improve sleep quality. i think the hotel should address this for better guest comfort.

the ryokan staff was attentive to all our needs. i found the shuttle service from the ferry arrival area very helpful (the staff adapted to our schedule).

my japanese-style room was decorated in a traditional style. the room featured comfortable yukata and a terrace that overlooked the forest (i could even hear the brook!).

the staff was friendly. there was also yukata provided for wearing. basic amenities were available.
the room seemed basic , and it was like little effort was made. i felt the need for more western food options. dinner included too much seaweed.
