japanese traditional experience!!!
authentic style private onsen nice experience
i enjoyed my stay. the ryokan setup felt very authentic. i loved the five private onsen options. the common onsen. the traditional japanese dinner and breakfast were very nice experiences!
The walk from the station to the resort took about 20 minutes. It would be great if there was a closer transport option.

The food was AMAZING!!! the kaiseki dinner portions were generous. i could order as much as i wanted. breakfast also offered generous portions. I really enjoyed it.

every staff member was super nice and helpful. they really made everything comfortable for me. i felt very welcomed. there were a lot of free snacks and amenities available in the public areas.

mediocre Stay near arashiyama station
dusty furniture stale food
the room wasn't cleaned very well. i noticed dust on the furniture and the bathroom floor had some grime. also, the breakfast buffet was a disappointment. the food seemed stale, and there wasn't much variety. the staff didn't seem to care when i mentioned it.
