relaxing arashiyama getaway

i enjoyed the steam and dry sauna in the public onsen. the private onsens had occasional waiting times. free snacks and drinks were a great addition , i really appreciated this. the location is very convenient , it's close to the bamboo forest.
i thought the dining hours were inflexible. the restaurant staff rushed me to finish breakfast and leave by 9:30 a.m.

this hotel offers very nice access to the arashiyama area with the train station so close. the five private onsens are available all day. a convenient lighting system indicated which onsens were free. the cleanliness of the bedrooms impressed me. also, the bed was very comfortable.
i found the dining hours quite inflexible. i was asked to stop my breakfast at 9.30am. it.

i enjoyed my stay. the ryokan setup felt very authentic. i loved the five private onsen options. the common onsen. the traditional japanese dinner and breakfast were very nice experiences!
The walk from the station to the resort took about 20 minutes. It would be great if there was a closer transport option.

mediocre Stay near arashiyama station

dusty furniturestale food
the room wasn't cleaned very well. i noticed dust on the furniture and the bathroom floor had some grime. also, the breakfast buffet was a disappointment. the food seemed stale, and there wasn't much variety. the staff didn't seem to care when i mentioned it.
