gorgeous loungehelpful hostbreakfast recommendationtea facilities
i found the lounge area gorgeous. it had loads of character. breakfast was lovely. amy and james were very friendly and helpful hosts. they remembered what we liked at breakfast and gave recommendations for hikes.
tea facilities were downstairs. i found this inconvenient since there were none in the bedrooms. we had to go down to get tea.
Dining

amy and james greeted me warmly and provided useful information about nearby attractions and bus routes. they always went the extra mile. they also offered assistance with taxis and advice on hiking routes.
Location

amy and james were very cute. they provided helpful advice regarding local bus routes. the communal area downstairs had complimentary coffee and tea. the muesli for breakfast was also very tasty.
the room's heating could not be controlled. this was an issue after being out in the cold and wet. obtaining hot drinks required going downstairs. the hotel also lacks a proper view of the lake.

Really good Hospitality and Comfort

gracious hostslocal diningexcellent fuel
I found Amy and James to be the most gracious hosts. They enhanced my visit. They offered advice on local dining and sightseeing, including bus schedules for rainy days. James's porridge proved an excellent fuel source for my Snowdon hike. It sustained me throughout the day.
The tea and coffee facilities were located in the downstairs lounge, not in the bedrooms, which required a trip downstairs for a hot drink.
Location
9/10
The location proved perfect for my family, especially convenient for our morning climb up Snowdon. A bus stop sits right outside, offering easy access to the village if you prefer to save energy for hiking. It's approximately a 20-minute walk into the village itself..
Facilities
9/10
The hotel features a cozy lounge area with a log fire, alongside complimentary coffee and tea. Guests can purchase local gins, beers, and wine to enjoy either in the lounge or in their rooms. There's plenty of parking available, and you can even find a hiking trail near the parking lot.
Rooms
10/10
Our room included teddy bears, something my little one appreciated. The bathroom presented a modern design with reliable hot water, and there was plenty of space. The room was adequately sized for my family and provided all necessary amenities.
