grand reception hallwide staircaseclean carpet
the house has a grandiose reception hall. a wide wooden staircase leads to the bedrooms. the breakfast room is large and elegant. the carpets throughout the hotel are deep and clean.
i noticed a slight lack of attention to caulking in the higher reaches of the bathroom window.

old mattressundercooked sausages
The mattress was like it belonged in a museum. Not in a good way, i assure you. i'm pretty sure i felt every spring digging into my spine. also, breakfast sausages seemed to have escaped the heat, remaining suspiciously pale. perhaps the chef was aiming for a 'rare' sausage experience? a bit more cooking time would not go amiss. the experience was less than stellar.

great locationold mattressno cleaning service
the location was pretty good. it was close to the lake and trails.
the bed was not comfortable. the mattress felt old and sagged quite a lot, i woke up with back pain each morning. also, daily cleaning services were not offered, i wasn't informed about this during check in.

the location suited me perfectly it was ideal for exploring. the owners were helpful. breakfast offered a wide selection it was lovely. the room was spacious and very clean i noticed tea and coffee facilities were available.
the basin in the bathroom was quite small it was a bit of a squeeze to use.
