dinner was excellent. the menu was fully mastered by the kitchen. the fish pie was amazing!!! good beer and wine were available too. breakfast was substantial and well cooked. the room was lovely with all that ancient charm.
my room was right above the main public bar so it was noisy until around 11pm. ear plugs were supplied with the towels, so it's obviously a permanent issue .

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good (the eggs were cooked perfectly!).
The room I booked was much smaller than the pictures online suggested. The noise levels at night made it difficult to sleep well.
