The staff coped great when it was busy. Staff was so helpful regarding dinner arrangements. The welcome we received upon arrival was excellent. They were very accommodating.

great showercold roomlate breakfast
the shower was great.
the room was too cold at 8.00am. the temperature was only 13c and no heating was available. breakfast didn't start until 9 o'clock and i needed to be in kendal for 9.15!!!

mixed feelings about my stay

inconvenient queue
I found the breakfast arrangement quite annoying . It did not start until 9am. there was an awkward queue of people waiting to get in. this delayed our start to the day , and i found it really inconvenient.

the staff were friendly (i guess that's their job).
the breakfast situation was a mess. i couldn't find the times listed anywhere before arriving. breakfast didn't start until 9am, so we were all awkwardly waiting, locked out. i was on a work trip, so this late start wasn't ideal.

a decent stay

standalone bathdog treatsuncomfortable chairsfaulty tv
the room was lovely. it had a standalone bath that i enjoyed after a long walk. my dog liked her box of treats, it was a nice touch.
the tv was downstairs. i couldnt watch from bed and the chairs were really uncomfortable. it was hard to get normal tv to work, but i found that appletv worked.
